Okay, one more thought: do you think Obama should address the crowd in Lafayette Park? That would be cool to have him acknowledge the crowd and the pride and joy Americans are feeling for the government right now.

  11. People who weren't there watched on television or read of the celebration on Twitter and longed (or decided) to join it.

Holy Wow -- there are THOUSANDS of kids celebrating on Pennsylvania Avenue and in Lafayette Park in front of the White House! If it weren't midnight, and I didn't have meetings in the morning, I'd be down there with them!

It seems wrong to feel so happy that another human is dead, but I do feel so happy and so proud of our military for killing Bin Laden....I only wish it would have happened 9 and a half years ago so that we wouldn't have sacrificed so many lives tring to get him. I kind of wish I was at Lafayette Park celebrating with all the crazies!

As a Georgetown alum it doesn't take much for me to want to be back in D.C. (my other favorite city!), but boy do I wish I were in Lafayette Park right now! Amazing!

Tweetpeeps seem torn between wanting to be in Lafayette Park & not wanting to be in likely-reprisal-target DC. Me? Wish I were home in DC.
