MyVoice: Telling stories through social reporting
The Reading Agency commissioned soundddelivery to run 2 social reporting days as part of MyVoice a Big Lottery funded project. It's inspiring to see a project trying to bring to life the wonderful opportunities libraries offer for young people. Enjoy these highlights....
- As part of the MyVoice project, The Reading Agency ran 2 workshops in Newcastle and London for local librarians and young people who would work alongside each other to understand how social media could be used effectively to bring their library stories to life. As social reporters they were shown how to use tools like twitter, facebook, tumblr, audioboo, video and audio to amplify their stories and have a voice.
- In Newcastle participants came from MyVoice projects in Sunderland, Gateshead and Newcastle itself. The young people from Gateshead had already showed how talented they are - they produced this amazing video book review.
- One of the interviews the young social reporters did about the Harry Potter series of books.
- Young people and librarians from Croydon, Sutton and Westminster came to the second day's workshop on social reporting held in London...as the North West group were already putting their skills into practice.
