Are We Teaching Digital Writing?

    @shareski Depends on what counts as "digital." I jot short notes on paper rarely sometimes. Almost everything starts with a keyboard.

    @shareski I have my Writing 12 students publish blogs, and portfolios as part of the course. Almost all of their writing ends up online.

    @shareski I think writing for "online" audiences is more authentic and practical than the "5 paragraph essay". Formal format is not engaging

    @shareski Yeah. The trick is how best to do that. Building spaces is phase one. Using the hell out of them seems phase three.

    @shareski Phase two is something like modeling and showing folks how the "new spaces" work in a way that isn't fake.
