Seattle Snow
A roundup of tweets, facebook posts and other online multimedia as snow has started to fall in the Seattle area.

Reports of hundreds of people gathered on the slope of Denny Way enjoying the snowy night. Sledding, cart racing, frolic, etc. As a few folks have said via Twitter, comments and Facebook, hopefully this year they clean up after themselves (yeah, right!). Pictures by View entire map >> We were worried when we saw the 12:28 AM 911 callout to Denny and Melrose that it might have been related to a sledding accident. Our worries were confirmed this morning. We'll try to find out more about the injuries which did not...- There were some folks out sledding last night, but it wasn't all fun and games like CHS Capitol Hill Seattle reports.
- 12:35 p.m.: King County Metro buses are operating on snow routes Tuesday morning and some routes have been canceled because of the slippery condition.
- Brrrrrr! It's -4 c in Seattle now. Couldn't go to work due to snow storm. Cars are sliding all over the street including mine. Had to leave the car out there and walk home in a freezing weather. The restaurant had to close early and probably all day tomorrow. It isn't going to get any worse than this!!
- (7 a.m. Tuesday): I-5 turned into a virtual parking lot Monday night around Lake City Way. Were you stuck on the roads last night? Send your commute story to newstips[at]seattletimes[dot]com.
- 9:37 a.m.: The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 10 p.m. for the Seattle, Tacoma and Everett metro areas. Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are expected.
- 9:40 a.m.: Two crashes blocked five of the Aurora Bridge's six lanes this morning. This photo was taken on Halliday Street, just south of the bridge.
