Following the advice of church founder and leader Mary Baker Eddy that <i>"no other than its officers are required to be present" </i>(Manual of The Mother Church, article XIII, section 1), the Annual Meeting 2013 was conducted only by the Christian Science Board of Directors directly in Boston, Massachusetts, and attended&nbsp;by thousands of members on the web, on Twitter, and in a "virtual church lobby" after the meeting.
