One of the three businesses focuses on the production of yogurt and other dairy based produce. This business is driven mainly by the mothers of those living with disabilities.

The businesses help provide employment opportunities and generate income. SCIAF helps provide insight into efficiency and strategy

A novel way of showing the structure of the organisation. Sister Rebecca at the project calls this the Master Plan. The children using the project are at the centre, followed by their families and then the board and staff of Special Families

Local businesses donate used paper and the project then organises this to sell for recycling.

The project users work in teams with one helper. The helper has goals for each person, which helps address their own developmental needs.

Angeli lost her hearing when she was just 3 years old. She has taken an inspiring journey to overcome her disabilities at APD. She has developed her confidence and made many friends. One day she hopes to become an electrical engineer

Dvikla is an inspiring young woman. Both of her legs have been badly affected by Polio since she was just 1 year old.

It was difficult to leave home. However, she found support from APD and SCIAF. She is now a very successful advocacy campaigner and has won awards for her work.

Fauzia has fought the devastating affects of polio on her life. She successfully completed studies at APD and moved on to university. Fauzia now teaches at APD and inspires others in similar situations to her own.

"The sheep are our business. We would eventually like to buy land. It is easy for us to rear. Yes, we are optimistic about the future." Bharathamma works hard to provide for her family

Suma moved to live with her mother after the death of her husband. She trained to be a tailor with Prakruthi. She can now provide for her two children.

Seethlaxmi makes 2000 paper bags a day and sells them to people to carry shopping. She supports her children to attend school through her earnings.

Sujatha is Seethalaxmi's daughter. She has a problem with her eyes, but her mother hopes to get her treatment by earning through her business. She helps her family by collecting water.
