The International Committee of Deaf Sports confirmed Friday that it is cancelling the 17th Winter Deaflympics. The 10-day ICSD event was scheduled to begin on Feb. 18 in Vysoke Tatry, Slovakia. The ICSD executive board demanded an urgent meeting with the president of the Slovakian Deaflympics committee, Jaromir Ruda, to discuss all critical issues.
