It is widely accepted that tweets retweeted by news organizations and the users they choose to follow should not be considered endorsements. Their favorited tweets, however, don't have quite that same designation. I searched across some of the top twitter accounts held by news organizations, along with some not so well known accounts to compare their use of the 'favorites' function on twitter.
