Edumacation: Created an app that uses Facebook’s open graph to help students create pathways to college and beyond by finding people with specific characteristics or experiences, such as someone from her high school who is enrolled at Stanford or someone from my college who's now working at Facebook.

Outspoken: Created an app that helps students master Common Core reading and listening skills by exchanging multimedia content, like video and written content, with peers on Facebook.


Quizlet: Created an app that becomes the lock screen for your phone and prompts you to translate a Facebook friends' status message into Spanish, French or another language in order to unlock it.

One question for Melinda Gates from the teenage audience: What advice do you have for teens on fighting for causes they believe in?
