Aside from the cries of "link bait", a few people asked what the methodology was for selecting them. As there didn't appear to be one, I've come up with the following: KloutDex.<div><br /></div><div>The KloutDex rating system is very sophisticated. Actually, no it isn't. It simply takes a person's <a href="http://www.peerindex.net" style="color: #429ec6;">PeerIndex</a> score and adds it to their <a href="http://www.klout.com" style="color: #429ec6;">Klout</a> score to come up with a final figure.</div><div><br /></div><div>Putting PR Week's original list of PR Social Media Power Players through the analytical mill, we arrive at the following league table:</div><div><br /></div><div><div>1. Jon Silk	Waggener Edstrom</div><div>2. John	Willshire	PHD</div><div>3. Drew	Benvie	33Digital</div><div>4. Eb	Adeyeri	Lewis</div><div>5. Rob	Brown	Staniforth</div><div>6. Katy	Howell	Immediate Future</div><div>7. Daljit	Bhurji	Diffusion</div><div>8. Jim Dowling	Cake</div><div>9. Helen	Nowicka	Porter Novelli</div><div>10. James	Warren	Weber Shandwick</div></div><div><br /></div><div>So there you have it. Jon Silk is the number one UK PR Power Player in Social Media according to PR Week's original list.</div><div><br /></div><div>The full list complete with links to more detailed PeerIndex and Klout assessments <a href="http://bit.ly/euHXwO" style="color: #429ec6;">can be found here</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>Of course, as I opined at the time, what about other potential power players who weren't on PR Week's original list? For example, <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/wadds" style="color: #429ec6;">Speed Communications Managing Director Stephen Waddington?</a> With a KloutDex score of 115, he would be in joint first place with Jon Silk.</div><div><br /></div><div>So it is perfectly possible that there are other PR Social Media Power Players out there who might have an even higher Kloutdex score.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>If you feel you have a bigger one (oo-er), Tweet me and I'll add you to the list. Or even if you just want to be on the list to see where you rank, just let me know.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now that PR Week has a methodology (KloutDex) for ranking PR Social Media Power Players, I have no doubt they will be reporting on the changing positions on a weekly basis.</div><div><br /></div></div><blockquote class="element twitter-tweet" style="margin: 0 0 15px; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.4em; max-width: 500px;"><p style="font-size: 20px; margin: 0; line-height: 1.4em; font-family: Georgia, serif; margin-bottom: 5px;">If you go to ShakeAway at the N1 Centre on Upper Street right now, you'll get given as much ice cream as you want for free.
