ICTEV 2012 Conference

The ICTEV 2012: Creative Connections State Conference as held on Saturday 26th May 2012 at Melbourne Grammar School, Melbourne, packing a full house. This Storify report is a synthesis of some different things that happened.

  2. At #ICTEV12 now. What was supposed to be cold is actually quite pleasant! Jazz, croissants & coffee. Hmm, nice start :-)
  3. We rubbed our hands, sipped on our coffee after picking up our registration kids then rushed up to hear the opening address by President Nicholas Reynolds. It was an honour for us to recognise the great work by Tony Brandenburg, Adrian Camm and Anne Murchison.
  4. We’re kicking off the @ictev 2012 conference on a cold Melbourne morning. Follow the #ictev12 hashtag. First up will be Alan November.
  5. Alan November was our keynote speaker, a leading ICT teacher who has helped helped schools, governments and industry leaders improve the quality of education through technology. His talk generated a flurry of messages, including the following:

  18. Many identified with the need need to stimulate creativity and innovation. It was felt that this overlapped with issues of assessment, control and communication.
