Edwina Currie's Comedy Connections
Everyone's favourite empathy deficit sufferer is on Twitter. Yay!
- Someone on Twitter is not on-side with #TwitterJokeTrial, and no surprise who it is... Yes, @Edwina_Currie is now on Twitter (it seems).
- @DavidAllenGreen yes, sweetheart it's me. Impressive turnout in court, but there are far more important free speech issues than this.
- Not sure which "more important [issues]" she's referring to - in this country, at least. Last I checked, All Of Twitter was watching how this turned out. I was under the impression #TwitterJokeTrial affected all of us - or at least, any of us with a non-brittle sense of humour. But she's clear that Paul and his case are not terribly important to her - as far as she's concerned, he may only have been acting the fool BUT IT WAS TOO EASY TO TAKE THE WRONG WAY:
- @lewisheriz @" I'm blowing the airport sky high" is not a metaphor. Can be construed as a threat. He was a damn fool, paid dearly for it
- It's not a metaphor. It's comic hyperbole. Of course, when Edwina does it, she's no damn fool. It could ONLY be construed as a PHAT LAUGH:
- You know what, @Edwina_Currie? It didn't take me long to find this tweet of yours that I'm about to RT...
- @francesbarber13 oh I'd shoot tax exiles! When they need high quality health care they're back in the UK double quick. Never make connection
- Bit rich of you to be going on about not making connections, wouldn't you say?
- Dear @Edwina_Currie You said you would "shoot tax exiles" - see bit.ly/Qu5X2u. Should we now call the police? (ht @pauljchambers)
- The lines go dead. She needn't worry, though. The tax exiles don't appear to have a duty manager.
- TheoGBAFAIK the NHS charge non-residents retrospectively for healthcare now so it's not really a problem if the come over here for treatment.2012-06-29T10:30:23.064Z
