Western Heritage Center
The library turned museum is located in Billings, Montana. It was scanned using a Zoller and Froehlich 5010C laser scanner.
- The 5010C is a phase shift scanner. It uses a laser to create a 3D image commonly referred to as a point cloud.
- The advantages of using point clouds to inform design workflows in that they allow for real world information to be documented. Reality can used to help manage a site or project at a level of detail not necessarily seen before.
- This information can also be used to engage with different communities and groups.
