In 1947 the "Copa Eva Duarte de Perón" was
established as an annual and official tournament founded and organized by the
RFEF, as a tribute to Argentine president Juan Perón and his wife, the popular
Eva Perón. It was played between September and December, usually as one-match
finals. The trophy was the predecessor of the current Supercopa de España.
Alfonso was a promoter of tourism in Spain. The problems
with the lodging of his wedding guests prompted the construction of the luxury
Hotel Palace in Madrid. He also supported the creation of a network of
state-run lodges (Parador) in historic buildings of Spain. His fondness for the
sport of football led to the patronage of several "Royal"
("Real" in Spanish) football clubs such as Real Madrid, Real
Sociedad, Real Betis, Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, Real Unión and Real
Luis Regueiro Pagola (1 July 1908 — 6 December 1995),
sometimes nicknamed Corso, was a Spanish footballer. He played for Real Madrid
from 1931 to 1936, scoring 53 goals in 92 matches. He also scored 16 goals in
25 matches for the Spain national football team, including a goal in the 1934
FIFA World Cup against Italy.
It organizes the Campeonato Nacional de Liga: the Primera
División, the Segunda División and the Segunda División B. It also administers
the Tercera División with the assistance of the regional football federations.
Having already worked in the Royal Spanish Football
Federation under president José Luis Roca, Villar was elected his successor in
1988, and would stay in office for the following two decades, being in charge
as the national team won Euro 2008.

bringing young Basque players through the ranks, as well as recruiting top
Basque players from other clubs (like Joseba Etxeberria or Javi Martínez).
Athletic official policy is signing professional players native to the greater
Basque Country, including Biscay, Guipúzcoa, Álava, Navarre and La Rioja (in
Spain); and Labourd, Soule and Lower Navarre (in France). Still, in recent
times, this policy has been somewhat relaxed and players with direct Basque
