- The tweet machine expressed support for the 'delay' side, as distinct from 'yes' or 'no' - many questioning why give away control until there is increased certainty and improved terms.
- Even Germany are beginning to voice against Merckel #VinB There should be a delay and a renegotiation for a better deal for us #fiscaltreaty
- With regard to coverage of treaty in general, there was an appetite for more analytical coverage than currently being offered.

- I think there has been a deficiency in the media’s coverage of what has been happening generally in the EU and how neoliberalism has become the dominant voice in Europe. The 'six pack' of measures agreed on October 28th last got little media coverage and little assessment of its import.
Essentially, both encroachments on sovereignty and the imposition of the neoliberal agenda appear to have been carried out then, more so than in the Fiscal Treaty.
- The 'delay' argument may gain traction, but the indications now are that the 'yes' side will win comfortably - although whether this matters is doubtful. Events in Europe are cascading even now and what is likely to transpire within a few years is now entirely indeterminable.
