Just another friday afternoon
PICNIC'11 is nearing its end, but there's still plenty to see and do! Read along in this afternoon update on a sunny and laid back friday.
- The weather is lovely and PICNIC is drawing to a close. Inspiration is still the keyword here at the NDSM Wharf, and spirits are high, judging from the tweets:
- The media team's had a busy day of writing blogs about everything that's been going on today. You can see all the articles, covering several highlights of the festival, on the PICNIC website.
- Starting off with a look back at yesterday, here's Saskia Sassen speaking on Urbanizing Technology. This speech was well received by PICNIC's attendees yesterday and we've recorded the whole thing for your viewing pleasure. See it below!
- We've also traced the video that shows minister of Internal Affairs Piet Hein Donner as he opens the new government website on open data: data.overheid.nl. This video drew much laughter as our usually so bland and boring minister filled his speech with comedy jewels. We wanted to share this gem with you:
Of course our Instagram offer is still standing! Throw us some cool looking pictures via #picnic11 and come over to collect your stamp! We've already given out a few and we'll be monitoring the feed for some more. Keep shooting!
See the pictures below for a few of our stamp winners. The top one, made by user Pabisjeta, is also our Instagram Photo Of The Day winner!
- To honour all your great Instagram contributions, we've made a small slideshow showcasing some of the fanciest images! Follow this link!
- This morning, two of our team members spoke to Klaas Speller, CoO of Appsterdam. Listen to the full audio interview below:
- RTL has also been shooting interviews on the ferry from Amsterdam Central. Check out their video of day 1 below (more days to follow):
- Finally, RTL Short Form Lab have been working very hard to push the Day 3 recap out today, and they have managed. Here it is, for your enjoyment!
That about wraps up this issue of Storify, as well as the PICNIC'11 Festival! We hope everyone's had an inspirational and fun few days, and of course invite everyone to come and join us again next year! Have a safe trip home, and who knows, until next time!
