Moseley and Kings Heath NHS Conference

"Our Health and Social Care - the future" conference, Queensbridge School, Kings Heath, Birmingham UK, 12th February 2015

  1. On 12th February 2015, Moseley and Kings Heath Labour Party supported by Unite the Union brought together around 100 local people and community activists with a panel of experts to discuss what we should do next to improve our NHS, locally and nationally. This Storify attempts to capture a flavour of the lively discussion that took place.
  2. We were really pleased that Lord Hunt of Kings Heath, Deputy Leader of the Lords and Labour's Shadow spokesperson on Health in the Lords, also a former senior NHS administrator, could join us. The excellent panel also included Cllr John Cotton, Birmingham City Council Cabinet Member for Health and Well Being, Professor John Glasby of the University of Birmingham's Health Service Management Centre, and Gerard Coyne, West Midlands Regional Secretary of Unite the Union. The meeting was ably chaired by Rosi Edwards, Vice-Chair of Moseley and Kings Heath Labour.
