@newsmary @johncthompson piece suggests being a dick equates to being young. Bit unfair. Fair share of old, experienced dicks out there- @newsmary @johncthompson and the fact that comments are closed in the article...
- @digidickinson @newsmary That is very true. And dicks for a whole host of other reasons too...
- @digidickinson @johncthompson Agreed. Journalists historically haven't tended towards the shy, self-effacing or retiring, for the most part.
- @newsmary @johncthompson it does require a certain brassyness but it's a fine line that's easy to cross in an online world.
- Is there a higher concentration of dick journalists than dicks in the general population?

More or less agree with @newsmary - people have always been dicks, it's just that now you can see them more publicly. #journodicks

- @newsmary @JosephStash Bit of both, though seems to be increase in listicle spurting hipsternalists who don't ever want to piss anyone off
- @newsmary @journodave I think the profession is fairly self-selecting, so dicks become journos in a lot of cases. #journodicks
