- As recent data shows, there are 330 million mobile subscriptions in North America, one in four smartphone owners also have a tablet and 64% of Americans use 3G mobile Internet. Our wireless networks are being taxed at a dizzying rate- North America’s network currently run at 80% capacity (compared with the 65% global average)- and as both speakers emphasized, the U.S. needs to make more spectrum available for wireless use.
