iAds Gallery Apple vs. third-party

Why it might not work to have an independent app developer making a gallery of iAds.

  1. Virtually all Apple-published iOS apps 'violate the App Store guidelines' -- Apple can use private APIs, third parties cannot.
  2. Meanwhile, this t.co/ZVuwBjh blocking of third parties followed by Apple-branded release... this is the story.
  3. @MikeTRose I'm mixed on this. Apple re-packaging their ads is just annoying, someone else doing it is annoying and a little weird.
  4. @MikeTRose Like those devs who keep trying to use our full RSS feed (which is free) in their paid apps. It's not their content.
  5. @MikeTRose Apple needs to reject with better reasons to avoid stuff like this. "Not your content."
  6. @reneritchie I see the point. "Potential trademark tarpit" exception.
