  8. Q1 What are the pros & cons of being a certified? #agrichatuk Being certified organic certainly adds value
  9. Q1 #agrichatuk I'm sure being certified gives pride & value in the farming community. The pressure of maintaining could be stressful
  10. @hanslope #AgrichatUK organic adds value but you suffer a knock on yield so when we are trying to boast production is it really worth it??
  11. So are there many different organic labels? #agrichatuk there are but I think consumers just look for the word organic rather than specifics
  12. @Georgina_RPark Hi Georgina good to have to involved. Red Tractor will feature a lot tonight I'm sure #agrichatuk
  13. Q2a) Via @organicduck: Do too many certifications & labels (organic, free-range, Red Tractor, RSPCA) confuse the customer? #agrichatuk
  14. Q2b) If we simplified & reduced labels, what should be prioritised and why? Local/Red Tractor/organic/freedom foods etc? #agrichatuk
  15. #agrichatuk 2 anyone 'in the business' they make sense+different standards required of each one(mostly)known.Probs too many for joe public.
  16. Q1 #agrichatuk also the public, the buyers of produce, aren't aware. I asked the aerobic class about #redtractor - no-one had a clue, shame
  17. @Agrichatuk #agrichatuk Q2 here's a Guardian article from 2yrs ago on how labels confuse - has situation improved? guardian.co.uk/environment/20…
  18. @hanslope #AgrichatUK very true certification certainly opens markets and when consumers see it they know the standard to expect.
