The Queen's 60 years in photographs
Just in case you didn't know The Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee in June 2012. Many parties, many retrospective of her life and books, magazines, documentaries and exhibitions are available.
- Walpole British Luxury in partnership with London private bank Coutts - not forgetting Getty Images and Claridge's have managed to organise and sponsor a wonderful exhibition with rare photographs of Her Majesty.
"...The exhibition, curated by Walpole and Getty Images, follows Queen Elizabeth II throughout her lifetime, showing her in all her roles; as daughter, wife, mother and grandmother; lover of horses, dogs and country pursuits; hardworking statesman and diplomat: ambassador of Britishness at home and abroad..." source: Walpole
- Wonderful photography: showcasing 60 photographs of the Queen and her immediate family in public and private moments, the exhibition covers the decades of the Queen's reign, including charming images of her Majesty growing up in the 1930s and 40s. Featuring fantastic colour material from photographer Lord Lichfield.
- The exhibition is on display at Claridge’s until 28th May 2012 and then a number of Walpole events in the week running up to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
- Always great to see the association of several companies which bring the British Luxury to the headlines - too rare these days.
In the past months and years Coutts & Co which deals with private wealth management and even banking for entrepreneurs, was already involved with major sponsorships such as London Fashion Week, V&A Ballgowns exhibitions and also in the weeks to come for the Norfolk Polo Festival.
