Data Lovers and Do Gooders Day 1
On Friday night, March 2, 2012, we kicked off DC Data Dive, a collaboration between DataWithoutBorders and the 2011 Independent Sector American Express NGEN Fellows! More than 100 data enthusiasts, do-gooders and nonprofit leaders turned up for the event. #dcdatadive #ISNGEN @DatanoBorders

- Lisa Flick Wilson (@flikstr) and Mayur Patel took the stage to give a quick overview of the Independent Sector NGEN Fellows' project "Leading through Data". The aim: help improve understanding and use of big data in the social sector. Keep an eye out for case studies, webinars and an ongoing blog profiling nonprofits working on these issues. http://bit.ly/wWzobh
- "Dealing with Big Data will be a critical leadership skill" @mayurhpatel on @IndSector NGEN fellows: #dcdatadive #bigdata
- Cultivating relationships between data scientists and nonprofit leaders a big part of the #dcdatadive.
