Retweeting When You Get a #FF Mention

I asked on Twitter and Google+ if it's acceptable for Twitter users to retweet when someone else mentions them in a Friday Follow #FF tweet.

  1. My original tweet.
  2. Retweeting when you get mentioned in someone else's #FF tweet. Yay or nay?
  3. Replies as follows:
  4. @mattmcgee I am OK with it as long as you aren't the only FF listed. Then is just looks pompous
  5. @mattmcgee Nay, not necessary - I reply thanks for sure though!
  6. @mattmcgee Might as well say #FF @ yourself. I wouldn't RT it with a 3 twitter account buffer shield!
  7. @mattmcgee Nay. You're retweeting to your own followers, who already follow you. So, meh.
  8. @mattmcgee I retweet if I also recommend others mentioned in the #FF, and add a thank you, of course!
  9. About 20 minutes later, I asked again.
  10. Still looking for replies: Retweeting when you get mentioned in someone else's #FF tweet. Yay or nay?
  11. More replies.
  12. @mattmcgee seems unnecessary since it's going to ppl that already follow you. Plus, do you know that the other people are worth following?
  13. @mattmcgee I usually thank with a public tweet with reciprocal FF. No RT, it gets too messy.
  14. @mattmcgee Nay. I don't retweet if I am in a #FF. I reply and say thanks.
