Ethnic Minority Affairs Conference
The MTA Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee put out the call to minority members to get involved in association work. “Celebrating Our Diverse Cultural Backgrounds" was the theme of the two-day conference that took place on Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 in Framingham.
- As the new Chair of EMAC I would like to ASK that ALL of our local, state, and National presidents and members to come together as a TEAM and make Masschusetts Teachers Assocaition a huge success in bringing in more members to our Annual Conference, NEA Representative Assembely, MTA Summer Conference, and the EMAC conference each year there is organizing, recruiting, member involvment, voting that is needed from all of our members and we need to come together as a TEAM to increase our participant count. MTA has 110,000 members but our turn out to these conferences are low at times. So come one come all and lets build our numbers to a higher standard....
