- The workshop kicked off Friday night with a panel with the news directors of all the Seattle TV stations. To have all the news directors in one room was a sight to be had. It was refreshing to see that the directors were honest about the way they cover and produce news.

- Earlier in the week, workshop organizers challenged participants to a shootout. Participants had one day to produce a video around the theme "An Important Meal."
The winners were announced at the end of the workshop. - Third Place, Walker Anderson.
