Tyler Flack, a leaping 6-6 forward/wing from Lakeville North in the Twin Cities, has verbally committed to play basketball for the Coyotes. Flack is considered a good get for USD. He visited Bowling Green last weekend and was offered a scholarship, then called the Coyotes Thursday night.

When it comes to the in-state rivalry between South Dakota State and the University of South Dakota, it doesn’t take much to set people off. The latest example is a billboard commissioned by USD that looms along Interstate 29 right outside of Brookings, a strategic and provocative placement that adds to the uproar.

The University of South Dakota put up a billboard off Interstate 29 in Brookings that shows their mascot, the coyote chasing the jacks mascot, a jackrabbit and the headline says, "have an old friend for dinner."
