Sex education not sexual assault!

As Lebanese media outlets rush to publish the story of the Aintoura school pedophile, public opinion remains at a strong divide on whether such cases should be published in the media. Haven't we been silent long enough oh Lebanese!? First off, here's a recap...

  1. RT @nmoawad: This is the art teacher who sexually violated 11 girls in St. Joseph school, Aintoura: Pierre Chalach facebook.com/pierre.chalach #Lebanon #endSH
  2. Aintoura school assigns lawyer to file complaint against teacher #Lebanon bit.ly/Ls15Hz
  3. Pédophilie à l'école : après l'affaire #Aïntoura, trois ministres appellent à la vigilance #Liban #Lebanon olj.me/762181
  4. Instead of opposing publication, shouldn't we call for sexual education at our schools?
  5. @lbc_group Every school shld hv a sexual education program. That's essential! My school had such program; once per mnth when we were b/w 11-13
  6. It is by creating awareness and removing fear from the minds of our children that we can address the root cause of this problem. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time such a violation of childhood occurs whether in public or behind closed doors. The only way we can fight this, and fight we shall is by bringing it out of the closet and looking ourselves in the mirror. Let fight pedophilia, by first admitting that it exists in our society.
