VIA Rail-Ottawa city bus crash detailed in tweets
A collision between a VIA Rail train heading to Toronto and an Ottawa bus had witnesses tweeting what they saw, and describing their reactions to the deadly mishap at the height of the morning commute.
- The view from the VIA Rail station in Barrhaven, an Ottawa suburb, didn't indicate the scale of the accident. Emergency responders say it happened around 8:48 a.m. ET.
- But it looked different from the road behind the bus.
- The first photo of the collision's aftermath came from the street.
