"For the past two years, that little girl — a doll-faced middle-schooler named

pain could force a 13-year-old girl to teeter on the ledge of a bridge?"
A Public open house to talk about plans for rebuilding Francis Avenue from Division to Market Streets is planned for Tonight at 5:30 at Arlington Elementary School. The $4.3 Million dollar project is part of a voter-approved muilt-year project to rebuild city streets. The work is now in its seventh year. The open house will detail the construction schedule and give property owners a chance for input on issues of access during the project. Construction is expected to start in late June to early July, with completion in October.
"Bennett is part of a small group from Spokane
planning to visit Danita’s Children, an orphanage located in Ouanaminthe, Haiti.
Whether they are asked to help build a medical facility, cut fabric for hundreds
of uniforms, take chickens to families in the community or just love on the
kids, they will do so with the aid of the Spokane community."
