Nothing is perfect

A discussion about bravery in learning and teaching became much more meaningful to me when it wound its way to discussing how we embrace failure and yet dislike the term.

  1. This is where the conversation took a more personal turn, for me. With an undergrad diploma in Linguistics including sociolinguistics, I am fascinated with how words help form our ideas, and even blind us to wider realities. the idea of a mistake can't help but carry a negative connotation and yet they are at the very heart of learning.
