1. 1956, and a 5MB hard drive is being lifted onto an aircraft i.imgur.com/uqKOX.jpg
  2. I dream of going back in time and showing them my iPhone RT @RupertMyers 1956: 5MB hard drive lifted onto an aircraft bit.ly/RwWhry
  3. ...I loved that story, by Harry Turtledove. It's in an ebook but not on the Web. From Analog (1984!) bit.ly/RwXZsV
  4. There was a great short story (not online) about SF writers from the 50s discovering a colleague who was a woman from the future.
  5. Best scene in Hindsight: She pops a tape into a VCR and shows them Star Wars on a color TV. ("My God, that's Alec Guinness!")
  6. If I've intrigued you and you have $10 to burn, the (very) short story is available in this larger ebook collection: bit.ly/RwYeV6
  7. @jsnell I really had the dream of going back in time and showing Steve Jobs the iPhone and iPod.
  8. @jsnell well, it wouldn't be such an awesome thing cause, you know, no Internet back then. So maybe photos and music. Better bring an iPod
  9. @Cameron_Talley Sure, but the net result of the iPhone is more impressive. Touch, big screen for video, still room for lots of music
  10. @urbanape @KuraFire But I can say that about the iPhone too. "It's a phone in my time, but here it can't do that. However..."
  11. @urbanape @KuraFire I agree, but the original argument was not iPhone v. iPad v. iPod touch, it was iPhone v. 160GB clickwheel iPod.
  12. Starting to wonder if I should write a story about taking Apple technology into the past. For future reference... #mrfusion #tardis
  13. @Cameron_Talley How do you use your iPhone? Mine plays music, videos, games, etc. The iPod does nothing my iPhone doesn't do.
  14. Airplane Mode = Time-Travel Mode. File this away, battery-saving time travelers.
  15. @franckhertz I think someone from 1950 would not care that there was no Internet on the magic rectangle.
  16. @kiggle If we didn't fry it first! We'd have to figure out how to get the right power into the Lightning port.
  17. @kestinen @RupertMyers You can't watch a movie or listen to music on 4 floppies.
  18. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go make a time machine.
  19. All the people suggesting that the iPod touch would be better in 1950 apparently missed where I said the 160GB iPod. No touch. Click wheel.
