Journalists React to Newsweek's Cover

Newsweek, in what can only be described as a wholesale attempt at achieving obsolescence, has put out a cover story by Ayaan Hirsi Ali on how she survived "Muslim rage." Journalists (and writer-scholars) react:

  1. You've got to be kidding: Cover of Newsweek is "Muslim Rage: How I Survived it. How We Can End It" by Ayaan Hirsi Ali http://pic.twitter.com/e56TvdfP
  2. I've been talking all week on how extremist groups in MENA have been fanning flames of clash. What now, Newsweek joins the game?
  3. Her vulgar production does not represent all Americans, is protected by free speech laws... RT @blakehounshell Do not feed the Tina.
  4. FFS. RT @KarlreMarks: good heaven. RT @evanchill Newsweek, tell me you're just trolling us and this isn't your cover. ow.ly/dLzcl
  5. @LaurenBohn @Max_Fisher @evanchill no it's just part of Newsweek's ongoing policy of illustrating how irrelevant it is.
  6. Oh, for Peet's sake.. RT @tomgara: Newsweek in full trolling mode. It would be despicable, if anyone actually read it bit.ly/S3hxUE
  7. I should pitch Newsweek a "Zamalek resident during the riots: A Survivor's story" piece, shouldn't I? ow.ly/dLzcl
  8. Complete collapse of Newsweek into stupid sensationalism highlights how good @TimeWorld has been over last year cc @TonyKaron
  9. Newsweek indulges in hysteria, using a devoted Islamophobe and proven liar to do it via... everyone. twitter.com/Newsweek/statu…
  10. Newsweek gives its cover to vile Islamophobic self-promoter Ayaan Hirsi Ali to promote bogus "clash of civilizations" http://pic.twitter.com/nL6Ojjcn
  11. Folks, don't get angry with Newsweek, start a hashtag. #NewsweekCovers ? Joe McCarthy: How to survive communism + picture of angry Russians.
