Anti wind farm campaign protests in Cardiff Bay

Pylons protesters set off for Welsh AssemblyHundreds of protesters from Shropshire and Mid Wales were setting out today for the Welsh Assembly in a bid to put a halt to controversial plans by National Grid which could see hundreds of pylons built.The Powys County Times -- tweeting @CountyTimes -- has reported on this story in a unique way. Chief reporter Richard Jones made the trek from Welshpool to Cardiff Bay with a few other core campaigners. Here is a report posted almost immediately after Glyn Davies MP spoke to the crowd:
- MP addresses protest crowd outside SeneddAT midday today on the steps of the Senedd, MP Glyn Davies addressed a crowd of thousands, gathered in protest against massive infrastructure developments planned for the Powys countryside. The protest, taking place outside the home of the Welsh Government in Cardiff Bay, has been attended by dozens of coaches coming from all over mid Wales.- Placards were out in full force, as Adrian captured some memorable slogans: "Down with this sort of thing" and "Careful Now".
