Food Shortages in Dadaab camp
Chronic food insecurity turned into a massive humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa. according to Care an International organization working in the area, More than 10 million people are in acute need of assistance. The situation, affecting large parts of Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya,
- The situation is said to get worse as an estimated 1300 Somalis from the neighboring war torn Somalia keep pouring into the camp.
Humanitarian organizations operating in the area say children and women are the most affected. Limited medical facilities and the harsh conditions make it difficult to provide the much needed services.
