- It is totally amazing how fast they respond to disasters here. Especially the power company Alabama Power. Not to bash california but a disaster like these wold take weeks and weeks to get back up and running if they had the same damage there. They seem to all be on their toes, especially this time. So Alabamians be very thankful for the progress bama power gives us. Take it from me.... I lived in california
- A couple of thank you's, Alabama power & Birmingham water works. I got home last night & didn't have power but saw probably 30 Alabama power trucks in our center point/ pawnee area by the jet pep working, last night around 6 we got power & whatever was wrong with our water was cleared. So very blessed considering all the destruction very close to us. Prayers to all other families during this time.
- For those of you wondering... we are all ok. The tornado was closer than we wanted thats for sure. but we are not near as affected as our neighbors up the hill from us and over to the other side where the main damages are. We have several huge trees down that luckily fell away from our house and our other structures, Are animals are all ok too we had some thrown chicken/guinea houses with only one of their houses unsalvageable. We are truly lucky that none of them are missing or hurt. We've been cleaning up the area with help from The Old Farts Farm and got power back thanks to Alabama Power's quick responses to all our down power lines that were everywhere. We have offered our help to those less fortunate and if anyone would like to donate bare necessities such as water, food and toiletries we would be happy to combine them with our efforts by taking them over to the staging area for you. Let us know!
- Alabama Power has been on a mission the past couple days! #beastmode #powerofprayer #Blessed and still praying for everyone!
