- This is a small Storify of only some selected tweets comprising part of the debate within the Church of England regarding the column Archbishop John Sentamu wrote for the Sun on Sunday, on 26 February 2012. sadly, the Church sickened by NoTW hacking is Charlotte, not the Archbishop of York #dontbuythesun #dontwriteforthesun #sentamu- There, Manon Ceridwen Parry is referring to the news reports on the voicemail-hacking and other scandals of the Murdoch newspapers (including the Sun) in Britain, and how Charlotte Church accepted a settlement from News International, the Murdoch company owning the Sun, the defunct News Of The World and the new successor Sun on Sunday newspapers. She says she did it in order to stave off yet more Murdoch newspaper harrassment of her mother.
Odd juxtaposition: ABY recommends we buy The Sun bit.ly/z8SRdT while Independent reports Church's deep sexism independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…- There ABY means the Archbishop of York.

@thevicarswife The point is that Sentamu endorsed the filthy rag, not that he wrote for it.
@KerronCross @RevArun @JohnSentamu has also promoted the rag and it's about more than #notw, also S*n's refusal to apologise re Hillsborough- @JohnSentamu I understand your writing in the Sun, but can't comprehend your promoting it. I'm with @billybragg on this one. #NeverBuyTheSun
