@HugoOC's ER challenge, May 9, 2012
Wednesday afternoon and evening Hugo Campos live-tweeted an episode of a serious arrhythmia, his trip to the ER, and his attempts to understand what was happening in his implanted defibrillator. Here's the story.
- I just had the biggest arrhythmia ever. No shocks fromt he device. Maybe ATP. I can't be sure. I might go into ER. #chestpain
- I'm on my way to Summit ER in Oakland for a ischemic work up and device interrogation. #chestpain
I'm at Alta Bates Summit. All I can think about is the bill. http://pic.twitter.com/PgjqSc5z
Just finished triage and had EKG done. Waiting to see the doc. http://pic.twitter.com/kFrIxb6j- @pacerdude_uk No. I don't have Carelink. Matter of principle. Nothing about me without me. #noCarelink
- @MarilynMann @shelleywood2 I'm at Alta Bates Summit ER. About to see an ER doctor. Keeping track of services and worried about the bill.
Still in the ER now waiting for troponin results and Medtronic rep to interrogate the device http://pic.twitter.com/vaaWHOQ7- #Medtronic told the doc they couldn't find me in their system. Thankfully I had my last interrogation report with me + ID card. #ohwell
ER visits can be as boring as they are expensive. Been here for 3 hours and no device interrogation yet. http://pic.twitter.com/8ZS5nBfd
If I had the ability to interrogate my own device I wouldn't be in this situation. #WhereIsTheRep? http://pic.twitter.com/16xTkGDd
