GLOBAL GAME JAM NL 2012 - Part 3
We're finally getting there. After lots of prototyping, bug-fixing, tweaking and the occasional nervous breakdown, the teams at all five locations are getting ready to finish and upload their games. Thank you everybody for a fantastic Global Game Jam!
- Hilversum: (Very) early morning but everybody looks like they're still having a good time. Nice!
- Amsterdam: Frantic attempts to finish the games before the deadline.
- At this time, some jammers make the right choice of getting a few hours sleep...
- ...before the jury arrives to decide which games are most noteworthy.
- Breda: Final hours and still cheerful.
- According to local organiser Robbie Grigg at Breda: "The energy has been great and the spirit amongst teams generally positive. The "play me" sign flew high on a surprising number of teams last night. This triggered many jammers to go, play and discuss the interesting interpretations of this years' theme. I was amazed by the number of playable games at 1 a.m. on Sunday!"
- "We have had various work environment "states". From the energy of teams deep in discussion and the clatter of keyboards as coders drive head-strong forward to the bomb-like explosion of a balloon punctured by the frustrated punch of a programmer raising a game jam-wide gasp of shock."
