Live snarking the second presidential debate

Here's my Twitter tweets from the second presidential debate Oct. 16

  1. The defining moment for CNN's Candy Crowley raises the question: Should moderators fact-check candidates during debate? bit.ly/QqBVLu
  2. Odd to see people who have never performed in a political debate sounding off on what president should do in debate...#punditfatigue
  3. Candy Crowley promises "to ensure that questions get answered." Its on like Donkey Kong, candidates!
  4. 1st ques, to Romney from student: "What can you say to me...my parents, that I will be able to...support myself when I graduate?"
  5. Obama looks like he could stare holes in the head of the college kid he's talking to. Ease down, Prez. Ease down.
  6. Romney challenging the president again "You took General Motors bankrupt." President: "What Gov. Romney said just isn't true."
  7. Obama: "Gov. Romney doesn't have a five point plan, he's got a one point plan." The professor bares a few fangs.
  8. Candy Crowely also learned from Martha Raddatz; Romney doesn't get to run this show...
  9. Romney says oil production is down on federal lands; but if oil production is up overall, who cares?
  10. Obama on Romney's oil answer "Very little of what Gov. Romney said is true." Prez learned to call out untruths w/out using word lie.
  11. The direct debate Lehrer wanted between Romney and Obama is happening in Town Hall on oil discussion. But Romney's still trying to run it.
  12. Romney says tax rates will stay the same for top 5 percent. But if much of their income is in capital gains - like his - does that matter?
  13. Wow. MT @BernardGoldberg: Women do NOT earn 72 c on dollar compared to men. Men do dangerous workpays more. Women take time off to have kids
  14. So...is Mitt Romeny admitting he used Affirmative Action to get gender balance in his cabinet while governor?
  15. Great to see President Obama get the "I was inspired by you in 2008; why should I vote for you in 2012" question.
  16. Does it matter that Romney said children of illegal immigrants should have a path to "permanent residence" not citizenship?
  17. A question on Libya I want answered, too: Who decided not to place extrra security in Benghazi in advance?
  18. Why doesn't the administration have a straight answer on what happened in Libya attack and security beforehand, even now?
