#vaginamovielines and #vaginamovietitles on Twitter
After two state Representatives were banned from speaking on the Michigan House floor—apparently for saying "vagina" when talking about abortion—Twitter went wild, throwing vaginas into film references left and right. They started with an apparently organic hashtag, #VaginaMovieLines.
- You know how to whistle don't ya? Put your lips together and blow. #VaginaMovieLines
- #VaginaMovieLines I love the smell of vagina in the morning. It smells like...victory.
- “@argylestyle Whatever you do, don't get it wet. And never, ever, feed it after midnight. #vaginamovielines”
- Soon liberal pundit Keith Olbermann, who has 380,000 followers, started retweeting fans' attempts.
- @KeithOlbermann The point is, ladies & gentleman, that vagina, for lack of a better word, is good. #VaginaMovieLines
- @keitholbermann "click your heels together 3 times and say there's no place like vagina." #VaginaMovieLines
- @KeithOlbermann "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit vaginas." #VaginaMovieLines
- @KeithOlbermann "Vagina means never having to say you're sorry." #VaginaMovieLines
- #vaginamovielines "The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been Vagina." @keitholbermann
- A few hours later, Twitterers tried a related tactic: inserting vaginas into movie titles.
