1. The more time passes, the more I think KC wins the AFC West. SD banged up on offense, DEN too many question marks on D.
  2. Too much is put on the value of the QB. KC will resemble last year's 49ers (with fewer wins). Best D in division, very good run game.
  3. Cassel has looked comfortable. The Chiefs need the 2010 version of him: solid with few turnovers. Doesn't have to be Rivers or Manning.
  4. Cassel has a decent to good OL, very good RBs and pretty good WRs. He never worked well with Todd Haley, who is gone.
  5. I also think the backup RBs will be a factor in the AFC West. Think Mathews, McFadden, McGahee and Charles stay healthy?
  6. And whom do you trust? Lance Ball? Taiwan Jones? Ronnie Brown? Or a motivated Hillis?
  7. Hillman has not been impressive. Been hurt, slow to pick up details. It'll take time for him to develop.
  8. And Hillis is keen to clear his name after the fiasco in Cleveland. Upgrade over Thomas Jones as a workload guy.
  9. I think the Chargers defense and Broncos offense are the most improved units in the AFC West.
