Too much is put on the value of the QB. KC will resemble last year's 49ers (with fewer wins). Best D in division, very good run game.

Cassel has looked comfortable. The Chiefs need the 2010 version of him: solid with few turnovers. Doesn't have to be Rivers or Manning.

Cassel has a decent to good OL, very good RBs and pretty good WRs. He never worked well with Todd Haley, who is gone.

I also think the backup RBs will be a factor in the AFC West. Think Mathews, McFadden, McGahee and Charles stay healthy?

Hillman has not been impressive. Been hurt, slow to pick up details. It'll take time for him to develop.

I think the Chargers defense and Broncos offense are the most improved units in the AFC West.
