Commonwealth celebrated in festivities marking the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen, Head of the Commonwealth
As the Diamond Jubilee celebrations got underway, Commonwealth acts performed on stage at the Jubilee Family Festival in Hyde Park on Saturday, 2 June.
The Commonwealth Foundation curated the Commonwealth Stage at the two-day event, which attracted over 50,000 people each day.We were happy to receive pictures and tweets from so many of you attending or watching the celebrations in Hyde Park.

It was a festive day and even the stilt walking cricketers made it out for an early morning stroll before the crowds flooded in.

While the Jubilee Family Festival continued on Sunday, over a million people gathered to see the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.
The Commonwealth featured in a procession of boats carrying flags from each of the 54 Commonwealth nations and in the Jubilant Commonwealth Choir, which sang traditional songs from around the Commonwealth.

We heard from many of you throughout the day as the Commonwealth boats and choir traveled up the River Thames.

Into Monday and the Diamond Jubilee Concert featured the Commonwealth Band performing 'Sing'.
