  4. A man who asked how Spencer envisions creating an ‘ethnostate’, despite pleas from the questioner that the audience let Spencer fall by his own words, the boos and shouts drown out much of his answer.
  5. Outside, protesters and Spencer supporters are clashing.
  6. 3:37 p.m. UPDATE: Lois Beckett, a reporter for The Guardian, reported that police were seen putting on riot helmets as Spencer told people gathered Thursday afternoon about his "idea of the ethno state."

  9. 3:15 p.m. UPDATE: Spencer took the stage just before 3 p.m. He was met with loud jeers and chants.
  10. "You are cartoonish,” Spencer said, according to Dara Kam of The News Service of Florida. "You’re worse than what most people say about the left."
  11. Because it’s Gainesville, “Let’s go Gators, let’s go,” was among the chants embraced by the crowd. To which Spencer replied: “Woo, sportsball! That’s a real great use of your time!”
  12. “We have a tremendous amount of support around the country,” Spencer said. Visibly frustrated with the loud audience, he added, “You think this is going to be read as great victory for UF? No... all the world hears is a bunch of screeching morons.”
