  2. Feb 19, 2018 7:24 AM EST: CNN reported Monday that investigators have found the site where a passenger plane crashed in Iran.

    According to Iran's Press TV, search teams made it to the scene early Monday, The Associated Press reported.

    All 65 people on the plane are dead, Aseman Airlines officials said, lowering the death toll from 66 as originally reported. CNN reported that "one would-be passenger did not board the flight."

  4. Feb 18, 2018 4:06 AM EST: According to The Associated Press, the ATR-72 passenger plane operated by Aseman Airlines crashed in the Zagros Mountains while traveling from Tehran to Yasuj, state media reported.

    An Aseman spokesman said the plane was carrying 60 passengers and six crew members when it crashed into Mount Dena, according to state media. One child reportedly was on board.

    Foggy weather has prevented rescue helicopters from traveling to the site of the crash, the AP reported, citing state media.

    Authorities said they are investigating what caused the plane, manufactured by Europe's ATR, to crash.
