1. Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Joint Rescue Command Center in Honolulu were called around 10 p.m. Tuesday after personnel at Wheeler Army Airfield lost contact with one of their UH-60 Black Hawk aircrews. At the time, two Black Hawk aircrews were conducting training exercises between Kaena Point and Dillingham Airfield, according to the Coast Guard.
  2. Multiple air and boat crews continued Wednesday morning to search for the five people who were on the helicopter when it apparently crashed.
  3. An airplane, two helicopters and several boats are being used in the search across an area with light winds and 2-foot seas.

  5. - An HC-130 Hercules airplane aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point
    - An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point
    - A Coast Guard Cutter Ahi (WPB 87364) and crew, an 87-foot patrol boat homeported in Honolulu
    - A 45-foot response boat boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Honolulu
    - A UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter aircrew from Wheeler Army Airfield
    - Shore patrol and a boatcrew from Honolulu Fire Department
