The Guardian's Activate New York Summit + #GuardianChat

On Thursday, May 3, 2012, The Guardian hosted its "Activate" Summit in New York. It describes it as "A Guardian platform aimed at world-changers who have proven that through the use of technology and the Internet, we can make the world a better place." A panel #GuardianChat followed in the evening.

  1. When you walk into The Paley Center for Media, you're greeted with a wall that says, "Great content lasts forever," peppered with Oprah and many others. Inspiring way to start the day.
  2. It all began with some opening remarks from Jeff Jarvis and Alan Rusbridger, the editor in chief of Guardian Newspapers.
