Science bloggers in India and Africa

I asked on Twitter for recommendations of Indian and African science bloggers. (The question came from an email to me, and while I didn't know the answer, I was curious to find it.) So here is a culling of responses...

  1. Someone raised a good question I didn't know the answer to: who are the top science bloggers in Africa and India?
  2. @carlzimmer Suvrat Kher of Rapid Uplift is great. He is based in Pune, India suvratk.blogspot.ca
  3. RT @AkshatRathi: @carlzimmer There is Arunn Narasimhan (nonoscience.info) who is an academic in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
  4. RT @AkshatRathi: @carlzimmer Finally, there is a group of bloggers (including myself) at @CTwenties who write about science in India. http://www.criticaltwenties.in/category/sciencetechnology
  5. @carlzimmer @ncfindia runs a group blog with some outstanding young field biologist writers. Here's one example post: bit.ly/13Y6EIc
  6. @BoraZ @carlzimmer also, print is still very important here, and papers like @TheHindu carry good science writing in regular columns.
  7. @carlzimmer Check out @davidcblackburn. Herpetologist at CalAcademy who blogs on his field trips to Africa.
  8. @leafwarbler @carlzimmer the one I can think of right away is not so much a science blog as an interdisciplinary one: regularities.org
