To tread the boards under the stars

Hopefully summer will be a little kinder to us from now on and with the light evening and slightly warmer/dryer weather we might be able to get out and enjoy some open air activities. All around the world people are working to make theatre a bit more accessible and change preconceived thoughts.

  1. Weather has a massive part to play in outdoor performances the two below obviously experienced two ends of the spectrum.
  2. You can't always guarantee who you will be watching or who you will be working with.
  3. A guy in a cape definitively just walked up to watch the show. #sitpyyc #outdoortheatre
  4. Shared the stage (field) with 3 dogs and 1 goat. Seriously. #outdoortheatre
  5. Many classic pieces are put on in outdoor areas, there are even some classic children's tales such as Rohld Dahl's "The Twits" which was put on as part of the National Trust Summer of Celebration. We have also created a blog post about a couple of the other productions that you can check out over the summer period.
  6. Is anyone going to see Sleeping Beauty at Wollaton Park tonight? Perfect weather for it >> bit.ly/MRNzxi #lovenotts #outdoortheatre
  7. I wonder how many people I can make believe that I actually ordered a helicopter spotlight #outdoortheatre
  8. In other news, finished final dress! Can't wait for #Coriolanus to begin previews tomorrow night! #CommShakes #outdoortheatre
  9. Blow drying your hair in between scenes...#sweatingourbuttsoff #outdoortheatre @omgitzbethy
