Jorge Mario Bergoglio becomes Pope Francis I
Cardinals elected Argentinian Jorge Mario Bergoglio to succeed Benedict XVI, who stunned the Catholic world last month by becoming the first pope in 600 years to resign. Bergoglio chose the name Francis.
